Schooling the Lawyers – Top Talent Pass
Explore the Top Talent Pass, Hong Kong’s newest initiative aimed at drawing exceptional global talent to its workforce. With 160,000 applications and 100,000 approvals, this program simplifies the qualification process for those who fit the bill. Applicants can qualify by proving an annual income of at least two and a half million Hong Kong Dollars or by being a recent graduate from one of the top 100 universities with a minimum of three years’ work experience. Note that currently, only bachelor’s degrees are considered, but this may change with new policies possibly recognizing postgraduate degrees. No job offer is needed to apply, and there’s an annual quota of 10,000 for recent graduates without sufficient work experience. Despite its selectiveness, the scheme welcomes applicants from all nationalities except for six restricted ones.
